Charles Phillips Oracle Assume the Position in Infor
One of the saddest days in Oracle was when Charles Phillips Oracle had to resign and relieve his position as co-president of the company, away from the troika of COO Safra Katz and CEO Larry Ellison. This was the case because of potential loss that would not only be felt by the business, but also with the possible demise of relationships established with different clients, customers, and even partners. Also, it can be regretful that a professional that has contributed so much would just end his professional career because he was looking for avenues of progress and improvement, as he stated many years ago when he was questioned of his exit from Oracle.
Many people have seen Charles Phillips Oracle assume his position as co-president, sharing and giving his skills and expertise in a fruitful and productive way. Everytime he spends meetings with fellow employees and other financial experts, they cannot feel anything else but respect and appreciation for him in making Oracle to be one of the biggest names when it comes to networking, computing, and database solutions. The whole computer and IT industry had seen Mr. Phillips move his hand and leadership in initiating the efforts of bringing Oracle to greatness, thanks to the many companies and other businesses that have consented to his desire of acquiring over 60 companies that have their respective systems, functions, software focus, and other aspects.
This makes perfect sense that even though Charles Phillips Oracle left the group close to the end of 2010, it was never the end of his amazing career as a leader and as a game changer. In fact, there was one man that had observed every move that Mr. Phillips made for Oracle, particularly, former CEO of Infor by the name of Jim Schaper. He had talked with the company’s Board of Directors to see that he can be replaced by someone who has not only the drive and responsibility of leading a company to success, but more importantly, has the vision and the desire to create a business portfolio that will be known by the masses and by small and midsized enterprises.
Charles Phillips Oracle has assumed the position of being new CEO for Infor because of the trust that has been placed on his shoulders, just like the time when Larry Ellison took Mr. Phillips on the wings of Oracle. He has even achieved feats that made the business gain bigger annual ending profits of $2 billion and increasing customer base to over 70,000 including the retention of older clients and customers.
